Jr. Chefs is all about getting our kids cooking in the kitchen. By getting them involved it not only helps them to learn, gives you some bonding time with the kids, but also helps them to feel like they are a part of their decions making.
Getting kids to help prepare their meals and snacks is a great way to get picky eaters to try new things and to eat when they normally wouldn't. Sometimes playing with your food is ok!
This month for our Jr. Chef program we got creative with our snacks and some fruit! I found a great website called www.fantasticfunandlearning.com this website had a ton of great ideas for snacks and crafts!! I came across a section just for Fruit Flowers!! They had some fun fowers all made from fruit!!
I took these ideas and made them a bit easier for our toddlers and voila! A fun and creative healthy snack!
The kids and the moms really enjoyed this healthy snack option, and it was fun!
