Be a Potty Star (or Hero)

February 3, 2015momstownFamily Life, PreschoolerNo comments
Potty training is scary and exciting.. for mom and child! Make it fun with a book!

Tales for Tots is a fantastic program sponsored by Scholastic Canada.

We had the opporunity to read a great book called Potty Star to the kids.   Many of our little ones are either just beginning to potty train, or will be soon, so this was a great book to read to them to get them excited.

Little ones need encouragment as they take this big step to independence, and mom and dad might need some help in the patience department and in the encouragement department as they deal with the trial and error of potty training.

The kids loved this book and loved going through the steps of how to use the potty.  I think it's safe to say when talking about the bathroom, and using bathroom words, most kids will get giggly and find it funny.
