Toddlers are just like little sponges, absorbing everything, and one of the easiest thing to teach them is all about themselves.
A fun way to teach them about the parts of their face is with these magnetic faces. Our little ones got to arrange and re-arrange them any way they liked.
Some were already pretty familiar with the parts of the faces and pointed them out when asked, while others were fascinated by the enlarged features and examined them carefully.
It sounds odd but there was a definite shortage of ears, the pieces were made from magazine photos and the ears in the photos were almost always covered with hair, makes me wonder why. Magnetic boards are an easy way to let kids re-arrange pictures and tell their own stories, and can be made from magazines and old or torn books, I know I will be making more for my little one as he gets older!
