It is that time of the year, the leaves are changing, sweaters are coming out of the closet, and everything seems to involve pumpkin spice. This month we are focusing on pumpkins, always a good choice and we made some orange pumpkin play dough to mold into our very own pumpkins and each toddler took home some play dough and supplies so the fun can continue at home.
I put out some sticks for stems, curled green pipe cleaners for vine,m googly eyes, dried black beans to make nose and a mouth and an assortment of ghoulish play accessories such as halloween cookie cutters, rolling pins and popsicle sticks.
Each creation was unique in its own way, and some sported about 20 eyes while others had no eyes whatsoever but many stems, and all were adorable. Play dough is always fun for little ones, wether they are at the age where they jab at it with sticks or roll it out and cut out shapes, and, my favourite part, it lasts for a long time and is easy to clean up. We had a lot of fun with this and are looking forwards to more pumpkin themed fun, until next time!
